How KidMint handles information — in plain language for parents.
KidMint ("the app", "we", or "us") is an educational app that teaches children (roughly aged 4–10) how money works — recognising coins and notes, counting, shopping, making change, and saving — across multiple world currencies. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does and does not do with information on the device. It is written for the parents and guardians who supervise their children's use of the app.
KidMint stores the following locally on the device only (in the app's private storage). None of it is transmitted to us — we operate no servers and have no database of users.
The selected currency, language, theme, difficulty level, sound/voice/large-text toggles, and the Premium unlock flag are saved on the device so the app remembers them.
Counts such as coins/notes explored, counting/shopping/change activities completed, amount "saved" in the piggy bank, stars, earned badges, and time spent are saved on the device to power the reward badges and the parent dashboard. These are just numbers — they contain no personal information.
KidMint does not collect a child's name, age, email, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any account, and it does not ask the child or parent to create a profile.
To read coins, amounts and encouragement aloud (for example, "five dollars"), KidMint sends that short text to your device's built-in Text-to-Speech engine. The text is only the learning content — it contains no personal information — and is spoken by the on-device engine, whose behaviour is governed by your device settings. Voice can be turned off in Settings.

Information stored by the app is used solely to provide its features: remembering preferences, awarding practice badges, showing the parent dashboard, and reading content aloud. We do not use any information for advertising, profiling, or tracking across apps or websites.
KidMint offers a single optional one-time Premium purchase that unlocks additional currencies, themes, stores and lessons. There are no subscriptions, no consumable purchases, and no gambling or manipulative mechanics. When you buy Premium, the transaction is processed by your app store (Google Play / Apple) and, where applicable, our purchase provider (RevenueCat) — we do not receive or store your payment details or card information. Whether you own Premium is remembered only as a simple flag on the device. Purchases can be restored from Settings. Please refer to your app store's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for how they process purchase transactions.
KidMint contains no advertising of any kind — no ad networks, no banners, no interstitials, and no behavioural ad targeting. Child-facing screens contain no external links.
KidMint is intended for children and is built to be safe for them. We take children's privacy seriously and aim to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK GDPR provisions for children, and the Google Play Families policy.
Parents and guardians can manage the app and any purchases using Google Play / App Store parental controls and family settings. Questions? Contact us (section 14).
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any information to anyone. We hold no user data on our side. The limited third parties involved in fonts and purchases (section 14) receive only what is technically necessary for those functions and never your child's progress or any personal profile.

Learning and progress are processed on-device and kept in the app's private per-app storage, which other apps cannot read. Because we upload nothing, there is no server-side database of your child's information that could be breached.
Depending on where you live, you (through you as the parent or guardian) may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including access, correction, and deletion. Because KidMint does not collect or hold personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf — full control rests with you on the device (section 11).

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features change. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and publish the updated policy at this address. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
