How Digits handles your information โ in plain language.
Digits (the "app", "we", or "us") is an Android home-screen widget that turns simple taps into app shortcuts. You place a small widget on your home screen, assign an app to each tap pattern (for example a single tap, or a double tap), and Digits launches that app when you tap. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
Digits processes the following information locally on your device only. None of it is transmitted off the device.
So you can pick which app a shortcut should open, Digits asks Android for the list of launchable apps installed on your device and shows their names and icons in a picker. This list is read on-device to populate the picker and to display the name of an app you've already assigned. It is never uploaded, shared, or stored beyond the single package name of the app you choose for a shortcut.
When you assign an app to a tap pattern, Digits saves that app's package name locally so the widget knows what to launch. These assignments live only in the app's private storage on your device.
Your settings โ such as the widget theme/skin you've selected โ are stored locally on the device.
Digits does not access your contacts, call logs, messages, location, photos, microphone, camera, or accounts, and it does not track which apps you open or how often.

To show you the list of apps installed on your device so you can choose which app each shortcut opens, and to display the name of an app you've already assigned. The list is used only on your device to power the app picker โ it is never collected or transmitted. |
The app is built without the INTERNET permission, so it is technically
incapable of sending your data over the network.
Information accessed by the app is used solely to provide its core function: letting you assign apps to widget taps and launching the app you chose. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the features you see in the app.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to anyone. Because the app has no network access, your settings and shortcut choices never leave your device and are never sent to us or to any third party. No serversNo third partiesNo cloud
If you have Android's built-in backup enabled for your device, your Digits settings may be included in your personal device backup (handled by Android/your Google account) so they can be restored on a new device. This is the standard Android backup mechanism โ we do not operate or have access to any such backup.
Your shortcut assignments and settings remain on your device until you change or delete them. You can:
All processing happens on-device and app data is kept in Android's private per-app storage, which other apps cannot read. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no server-side database that could be breached. You remain in control through Android's permission system at all times.
Digits is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no data and has no online component, it poses no data-collection risk to users of any age.
Digits does not integrate advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social login providers, and it does not embed any third-party trackers. If you tap an in-app link โ such as "rate the app", "share", or a how-to-use video โ your device opens that link in the relevant app (for example the Play Store, your browser, or YouTube). Those apps and services have their own privacy policies; Digits itself sends nothing.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Since Digits does not collect or hold any of your personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf โ full control rests with you on your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features change. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and publish the updated policy at this address. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
