How 1Direct handles your information — in plain language.
1Direct (also referred to as "the app", "we", or "us") is an Android utility that lets you message or call anyone on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, SMS or Phone without saving their number to your contacts. You type or scan a number, and the app opens it directly in the channel you choose. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
1Direct processes the following information locally on your device only. None of it is transmitted off the device.
When you type a number, paste one, or scan a QR code, the app uses that number to build a chat, message, call or
QR-code action. The number is processed on your device to open the relevant app (for example
wa.me/{number} for WhatsApp, t.me for Telegram, smsto: for SMS, or
tel: for a call). 1Direct does not add these numbers to your device's contact store.
To make the app useful, recently used numbers, favorites (an optional nickname plus number) and your message templates may be saved to a local database on your device so you can reuse them. This data lives only in the app's private storage and can be cleared by you.
Your settings — such as theme, dynamic color, clipboard detection and premium state — are stored locally on the device using Android's preference storage.
If you enable Clipboard detection, the app checks the clipboard for a copied phone number so it can offer a quick chip to open it. This check happens entirely on-device; clipboard content is not stored or transmitted, and the feature can be turned off in Settings.
1Direct does not access your contacts, call logs, location, photos, microphone, or accounts.

Camera is the only permission 1Direct requests. Calling does not need a permission:
when you tap the call action, the app opens your phone's dialer with the number prefilled
(using ACTION_DIAL) and you choose whether to place the call.
The app is built without the INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of sending your data over the network.
1Direct's core purpose is to hand a number off to another app you already use — WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, your SMS app, or your phone dialer. When you tap an action, the app creates a standard Android intent and the destination app takes over. Any message you then send happens inside that other app and is governed by its privacy policy, not ours. 1Direct simply opens the conversation for you.
Information accessed by the app is used solely to provide its core function: opening chats, messages, calls and QR codes for the numbers you choose, keeping your recents, favorites and templates, and remembering your preferences. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the features you see in the app.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to anyone. Because the app has no network access, your numbers and data never leave your device and are never sent to us or to any third party. No serversNo third partiesNo cloud

All processing happens on-device and app data is kept in Android's private per-app storage, which other apps cannot read. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no server-side database that could be breached. You remain in control through Android's permission system at all times.
1Direct is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no data and has no online component, it poses no data-collection risk to users of any age.
1Direct does not integrate advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social login providers. It does not embed any third-party trackers. The messaging and calling apps it opens (such as WhatsApp or Telegram) are separate products with their own privacy policies.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Since 1Direct does not collect or hold any of your personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf — full control rests with you on your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features change. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and publish the updated policy at this address. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
